Business Women of the Year Awards
Well, I guess we made an impression in all the right places. I have been nominated for the Female Entrepreneur of the Year for 2011 for Lake Country Grill. This event is put on my Meridian Credit Union Good Neighbour Program in Southern Georgian Bay. There are three categories, Business Woman of the Year, Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Heart & Soul of the Community. I am thrilled to be a part of such a esteemed group of proffessional women. Lake Country Grill is not just a young restaurant, it is a forum for change in food service experience and expectations, an educational facility for young minds and a haven for every young mind with aspiration, dedication and a thirst for knowledge and acceptance. Chef Rob, who is the magic behind the food and my esteemed partner and I have teamed up to have an inviting educational and soul fulfilling place that will be a most memorable experience with work skills and positive attitude to take into future careers. Our staff are never considered a dime a dozen. We train, we educate, we support, we question, we test, we push, we explore, we make room for creativity and personal growth. We can do all that and produce the cleanest homemade food devoid of preservatives and fast food mentality to our guests. Anyone can start a restaurant, but we intend on being memorable, forward thinking, responsible to our guests, responsible to the impact on our staff, responsible to train and educate and hold a few hands, dry a few tears, but constantly back the education process and the experience of ones position in a team that effects the greater good. WE CARE. Yes its challenging, but we are up to it, up to shaping the future, up to supporting our community, up to giving youngsters the opportunity to stand next to a Chef and go home and cook for their families with a beaming pride that lights up a room. We love what we do, we love where we do it, we love who we take on and train, and we love our guests who support us and send us their children to shape and mold. It’s an experience like no other and one I wished I had in my early years, which is why I am so adamant to deliver this experience to your children, because one day they will be adults and they will be ready and self sufficient and we will be moved and thankful. Lake Country Grill – You Chill, We Grill, and we will always be forward thinking and an educational facility. I thank all my staff for making us successful and memorable and making people notice us as a force to be reckoned with, admired, and supported. NOOOOOOOOO.. it’s that time again, nearing the end of the season of beautiful weather, cottaging and boating. We have modified hours for the fall. We are closed monday, tuesday and wednesday. We open at noon, and are seating tables until 8 thursday through sunday.
We are hosting a private party Saturday October 22nd, so we will only be open for service until 5.
Our last day open in 2011 will be Sunday,October 23rd.
